ODM will hold its National Governing Conference (NGC) on Thursday at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi.
More than 300 delegates together with the 210 branch chairmen and MPs are expected to attend.
The conference comes three weeks after the Orange party held a National Executive Committee/Parliamentary Group retreat in Naivasha.
The retreat had come up with proposals to amend the party’s constitution.
The NGC’s agenda includes going through and discussing the proposed amendments. It will also propose changes to the party’s elections rules, as it prepares for the 2012 General Election.
Party Leader and Prime Minister Raila Odinga, his deputy Musalia Mudavadi, chairman Henry Kosgey and Secretary General Anyang’ Nyong’o will address the meeting.
Meanwhile, ODM has opened an office in Githunguri, Kiambu County, as it seeks to gain a foothold in Central Kenya.
Raila is expected to open the office before end of next month. Githunguri ODM chairman Daniel Kago said yesterday they were on final touches.
