Kibaki in Rwanda for Kagame's inaguration

President Mwai Kibaki has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda for a two day official visit to attend the inauguration of Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame.

During the visit President Kibaki will also attend a Heads of State and Government Consultative Forum on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

The plane carrying the President and his delegation touched down at Kigali International airport shortly before 1:00 pm.

On arrival the Head of State was received by senior Rwandese Government officials led by the Prime Minister Bernard Makuza and Kenyans resident in Rwanda led by Ambassador Makena Muchiri.

The President is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Moses Wetangula, Beth Mugo, Prof. Hellen Sambili and Wycliffe Oparanya.
