Internal security assistant minister Orwa Ojode has warned to politicians against inciting the public saying they will not escape justice.

This came even as parliament demanded that the Attorney General explains why he failed to take action on evidence provided by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission implicating Trade Minister Chirau Ali Mwakwere in hate speech.

A statement by Mwakwere during the Matuga by elections campaigns was in the spotlight with Kisumu Town West legislator Olago Aluoch demanding an explanation form the AG as to why no action has been taken against the minister who recaptured his seat and was reappointed minister.

Olago claimed the commission was frustrated at the government's reluctance to act on the matter.

However, the AG has dismissed the allegations saying investigations are ongoing before prosecutions can be done.

The AG was also asked to clarify if the members of the commission were in any danger.

Ojode moved to re-assure parliament that justice would be done irrespective of whether perpetrators were either "big or small fish".

There have been allegations that a section of NGO's in the Burnt Forest area in Rift Valley were funding the distribution of leaflets threatening certain communities as a way of attracting donor funding.
