Orengo & Moi on Land Grabbers

The 'yes' team is taking on retired President Daniel Arap Moi, claiming that his vehement opposition to the proposed constitution was motivated by the fear of losing illgotten wealth, especially land. Land Minister James Orengo even claimed some key power players in the former KANU regime, were in rush to dispose off their grabbed land before the proposed constitution was enacted and they had even sought the intervention of President Mwai Kibaki. In the meantime, 12 Western Kenya mps led by Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi have predicted a landslide win for the green team in the August 4th referendum contest. Francis Gachuri reports.
