No Campaigns

Meanwhile members of the clergy opposed to the proposed new constitution are now alleging that the yes campaign enthusiasts are issuing threats against church leaders. They have further alleged that there is a plot to disrupt the no campaign rally slated for Suswa on Wednesday and are urging the police to take action. In the meantime Higher Education Minister William Ruto continued with his 'no' crusade in coast province where he held public meetings Kinango, Ukunda and Kwale. Alex Chamwada with that story.

  1. It is sad; the church is standing in the way of progress in our great Nation....Kenya is for all...we have both christians, muslims, hindus, non religious etc...it is therefore not possible to have an agreement on this proposed contitution to accommodate everyones views. Moreover, should kenyans accept the rejection of this document...it will be difficult to bring the process back on track...those opposed to the document are well aware that the whole process will be scuttled and their interests will have prevailed over the interests of the masses! Roto and the Church are being insincere...the highst % of the document is good. Thus, the few clauses they claim are not perfect can be dealt with if indeed Ruto and his companions have the Nation at heart....there are better ways in which the required amendments can be initiated after the referendum...the door will not be entirely shut for that as they claim!
