Amos Wako Wednesday confirmed that he had been banned from traveling to the US.
Wako made the announcement at his Sheria office said he would take legal action against the American government for defamation.
He denied claims by US that he was blocking reforms in the country.
"Although I am totally indifferent to the revocation of the visa and I have absolutely no desire to visit the United States of America, nevertheless; in view of the reasons given, which are defamatory, it is my intention to seek legal advice with a view to institute legal proceedings in the US," said Mr Wako.
The AG said he had facilitated major reforms in the country. Wako said he had received notification that his visa had been cancelled for blocking reforms.
Last month, US Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Jonnie Carson said his country had banned a senior Kenya Government official for blocking reforms but withheld the name of the official.
On the contrary, Wako accused the American government of frustrating the fight against corruption citing the Anglo Leasing scandal.
He said key suspects in the scandal were US citizens and disclosed that the FBI had declined to co-operate and launch investigations against two Americans despite government's request.
