Just who is this Benz owner?

Mr Wycliffe Okelo, the owner of the dark Mercedes Benz, denied any wrongdoing, saying he saw the body on the road and swerved to avoid it. He also denied being at the party attended by Ms Mercy Keino and Juja MP William Kabogo.

But more details have emerged about Mr Wycliffe Okello Lugwiri.
On September 9, 2003, he was sentenced to 9 years in jail for trying to defraud various businessmen posing as a former president’s aide, Mr Alfred Getonga.
The businessmen told the court then that Mr Lugwiri had lied to them of having been sent to take money claiming it was meant for a fund raising project.
Lugwiri was sentenced to 9 years but was to serve for only three since the sentences were to run concurrently.
Further details indicate that he has been in and out of the courts over impersonation and fraud several times with his surname varying between ‘Lugwiri’ and ‘Lungwili.’
In October 30, 2003, a Kibera law court sentenced him to two years in prison for trying to defraud a former Kenya Pipeline Manager Ezekiel Komen of Sh20,000.
The then Chief Magistrate Rosemelle Mutoka had found him guilty but later rescinded her judgment after Mr Lugwiri appealed arguing that the complainant never saw him in person.
He also had a case in which he was charged with trying to defraud Devki Steel Mills manager, Mr Raval Guru, of Sh300,000.
Mr Guru had initially given him Sh 25,000 after which he reported to the police.
