The dark Mercedes Benz was allegedly spotted dropping a passenger on the spot where Mercy's body was found.
Preliminary police investigations indicate that the University of Nairobi Masters student Mercy Keino was ran over by one or more motor vehicles on Waiyaki Way.
According to Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere, investigations indicate the nature of her injuries were consistent with those of a body run over by a motor vehicle.
"Observations on the injuries on the body were consistent with the injuries on a body run over by a motor vehicle or motor vehicles," Mr Iteere said.
In a documentation of the deceased last steps, police retraced her last steps from Hurlingam shopping center where she together with her cousin allegedly boarded a Matatu to Westlands, to  the last time she was seen alive.
The two are said to have joined a lady friend who was in the company of two men where their names were taken down before boarding a taxi to Wasini luxury homes in Westlands where the party was held.
The group is said to have joined others at the party where the deceased is alleged to have intoxicated herself before she later left the venue and disappeared towards Waiyaki way without company only for her lifeless body to be discovered hours later.
Misbehaviour
" From several witnesses who have recorded statements and attended the party, the deceased took a lot of wine together with hot drinks (whisky) leading her to shout at everybody and breaking glasses and picture frames"
The police boss said Ms Keino was taken out of the venue for misbehaviour and rowdiness adding that past midnight, she decided to leave the venue and an attempt by her cousin to restrain her was fruitless.
"She later disappeared towards Waiyaki Way without company, leaving her bag and mobile phone with Scolastica," Iteere said.
Addressing the press, Iteere says police have since recorded statements from 12 witnesses with some accounts indicating that a dark Mercedes vehicle was seen dropping a passenger on the spot where the deceased body was found.
He said a postmortem carried on the deceased body showed that the body had severe injuries, a smashed head, multiple fractures on the arm, legs and bruises on other parts of the body.
He however said police are awaiting toxicological examination results before issuing their final report.
Two senior prosecutors appointed by the Director of Public Prosecutions are assisting the investigation team with technical and legal advice.
Women MPs
Meanwhile,   four women legislators are calling on the police to bring to book the killers of Ms Keino Addressing a news conference in Parliament buildings Wednesday, East African Community minister Helen Sambili, Gender minister Naomi Shaaban, assistant minister Beatrice Kones and MP Dr Joyce Laboso (Sotik) questioned how the deceased left the party at night unaccompanied.
Shabaan and Laboso argued that if Ms Keino was very drunk as alleged, how come no one bothered to follow her to ensure she was safe.
They demanded a speedy investigation and conclusive police report on the mysterious death.
