Special Programs Minister Naomi Shabaan is condemning police brutality in the forceful eviction of IDPs at the burnt forest camp where teargas and tents pulled down.
Shabaan says the exercise is intended to be peaceful and so far 20,000 houses have been constructed by the government to resettle the IDPs.
At the same time the resettlement exercise of IDP's at Mawingu camp slated for Wednesday failed to kick off with the area district commissioner saying he is yet to receive clearance from Nairobi to begin the exercise.
The reason no official communication has been forthcoming from the head office in Nairobi for the exercise to begin.
Uncertainty among a section of IDPs remains high with some alleging they are yet to receive their compensation dues and therefore will not leave the camps.
