It’s High Definition for Mashemeji rumble

NAIROBI, August 21- Defending champions Gor Mahia take on archrivals AFC Leopards on Sunday at Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium in the Mashemeji Derby and SuperSport will be rolling out a world class production befitting this match-up.
Gor will be looking for their first victory over Leopards since 2013 having breezed through the season unbeaten on 55 points, 21 points above their arch-enemies who remain stuck in fifth with no win in four.
For Leopards, the return of coach Zdravko Logarusic will be a big boost while the presence of former Gor players like Ivan Anguyo, Eric Masika, Joseph Njuguna and Solomon Nasio will add spice to the clash.
The Croat returned to the Ingwe dug out last weekend after sitting out the four matches where over unpaid salaries and allowances where they edged Ligi Ndogo 2-1 in a GOtv Shield clash.
Assistant Yusuf Chippo resigned after Ingwe were beaten by Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in their last SportPesa Premier League clash while Gor are coming on the back on a shocking 1-1 draw against basement side, Nakuru All Stars on Wednesday where the minds of the players looked programmed on the big one.

The match will be broadcast in full HD on SS3HD in what is a precursor to the days, which are not far off, when a majority of league matches will be available in high definition platform.
“It’s the biggest game of the season; an advert for our league and we will pull out all the stops to provide a world class production. That it will be in full HD is testament of our desire to give our viewer the very best of our league in world class quality,” said SuperSport East Africa General Manager Auka Gecheo.
The production will consist of 12 cameras which include goal cameras, a jib and a steady cam all operated by an all-Kenyan crew.
Preceding kick off is an hour long studio build-up anchored by Chiko Lawi with Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee and Musa Otieno providing expert analysis.
Former Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards winger Dr Dan Shikanda and James Wokabi will be pitch-side at Nyayo National Stadium with coaches’ interviews and team news.
Commentary is available in English and Swahili with Bernard Otieno and Gilbert Selebwa in English commentary while Ali Salim Mmanga and Michael Were will be in Swahili.
