A first time MP from Rift Valley found himself in  an embarrassing situation last week. The legislator, who was working for a government agency before joining politics, had decided to visit his city 'mpango wa Kando' somewhere in Nairobi’s Eastlands. The MP, who has two children with the woman, was shocked when his daughters screamed loudly when he entered the gated compound. The girls shouted at their father for allegedly neglecting them since he became MP. The MP, who had driven himself in a white Toyota Prado, had to flee to avoid embarrassment.

Good news for Kenyan quail farmers. We are told already a number of those who ventured into the would-be profitable business are taking a lot of consolation with the happenings at US President Obama’s White House. This is when it emerged that the son of Kogello has been having quail eggs on the dinner menu. On Tuesday, Obama served his French counterpart Francois Hollande the 'magic' quail eggs. The two gentlemen are allegedly embroiled in marital scandals.

Matatu operators in Kericho county are wondering what Governor Paul Chepkwony is up to by opting to ignore their pleas on the expensive double taxes levied on them on the same route in the county. A manager of a matatu sacco operating the Kericho-Kapsoit-Sondu route told corridors that the county is taxing them on every trip they make to the main matatu terminus at Kericho town, while at the same time being charged at every subcounty they go through. What has made them bitter is the studious silence the governor has employed when they are suffering in the hands of county officials whom they say are fleecing them.

Still in same county, an MCA who is known to have extremely insatiable sexual  appetite has been using his position in society to gain sexual favours from widows. Every time married men die in his neighbourhood, he moves in to inherit the widows promising to support them access county help. The man, who is also a chairman of a committee, currently has five widows at his disposal whom he uses to quench his sexual thirst. His dog-like behaviour has attracted the attention of the village and a trap has been set to catch him in the act.
