Knut boss David Okuta dies in Nairobi

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) secretary general David Okuta Osiany has died in Nairobi.
Mr Okuta, 61, passed on Tuesday night at the Aga Khan Hospital.
"He developed breathing complications and was rushed to Aga Khan where he died,” Knut chairman Wilson Sossion told the Nation on phone.
He said Knut officials will hold a meeting with Mr Okuta’s family before addressing the media.
Mr Okuta was in and out of hospital due to illness.
He was a vocal champion of teachers' rights who are currently over 240,000 and served as secretary general since 2011.
