UHURU KENYATTA’s mother in court over STOLEN LAND

Thursday February 21, 2013 – The mother of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, now wants a case challenging her ownership of two Prime Plots in Nakuru Central Business District dismissed by High Court in Nakuru

Mama Ngina on Wednesday filed an application before Judge Anyara Emukule seeking to dismiss the case brought by a Nakuru businessman Dr Isaac Kirubi on grounds that it did not disclose the cause of action against her.

The former First Lady said Dr Kirubi in his own evidence did not at any time exclusive own the properties subject to the court case. She added that that it would be a violation of her rights for the case to proceed to full hearing without the petitioner justifying the reason for suing her.

Kirubi claimed that the prime plot in Nakuru town was forcibly taken by late President Jomo Kenyatta in 1974. He contended that the first President colluded with then Commissioner of Lands Aloysius O’Loughlin in May 7 1974 to forcibly take the land.

Kirubi wants the High Court to declare the acquisition null and void and the land reverted to him.

Both parties will appear in court on April 10 for submissions.
