RAILA ODINGA’s close confidante FRANKLIN BETT gets a NEW JOB

Friday, the 8th of February 2013 -News just in indicates that Roads Minister Franklin Bett has been appointed to head the Campaign Committee of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).

Before his appointment, Bett was the head of the ODM national elections board, a position which saw him act as the party’s go-to-man during last month’s chaotic party primaries.

In his new position, Bett will be in charge of ensuring that CORD stays ‘on message’ on the coalitions talking points as enumerated in the manifesto it unveiled late last month. CORD still has a sizeable lead in the opinion polls and it will be up to Bett and his team to ensure that the coalition maintains it.

Bett shelved his ambitions to vie for any elective posts in the upcoming elections because –as many pundits have pointed out – he would have found it impossible to win a seat in the URP dominated region.
