Gideon asks voters to shun six-piece voting

By Robert Kiplagat
Kanu Chairman and Baringo County Senator candidate Gideon Moi has urged voters to shun six-piece voting pattern and instead elect quality leaders.
Gideon said a candidate’s party does not matter, adding that the electorate should judge leaders on their ability to bring development.
Addressing more than 1,000 youths from Baringo Central District at Kenya School of Government at Kabarnet, he decried rampant joblessness among the youth and promised to address it through construction of industries.
“The greatest resource that Baringo County has is the human resource and youth comprise the largest number and I will solve the problem by creating potato and milk factories,” said Moi.
The industries, he said, will enable the residents to venture into commercial potato farming and zero-grazing to earn income.
He also promised to create a micro-finance enterprise that will enable youth and women to access funds to establish businesses.
Gideon said he would unite all the communities in the county such as Tugen, Pokot, Ilchamus, Turkana and Kikuyus to foster peace.
