Businesswoman Mary Wambui's challenger for The National Alliance (TNA) ticket Mugambi Gichuki has withdrawn his petition.
Mr Gichuki dropped a complaint he had lodged with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) dispute resolution committee Friday.
The tribunal directed TNA to amend its list to reflect Ms Wambui's Othaya parliamentary candidature.
On Thursday, Ms Wambui was confirmed as the TNA parliamentary candidate for Othaya.
TNA lawyer Linda Milimu told the IEBC tribunal at the Milimani Law Court in Nairobi that Ms Wambui had been confirmed by the party as the legitimate bearer of the nomination certificate.
“We have agreed that Ms Wambui is the duly nominated candidate for Othaya,” said Ms Milimu.
The IEBC committee, however, asked the TNA lawyer and Ms Wambui’s lawyer to sign and file consent with it to that effect.
