Friday January 11, 2013 - A Wiper party MP was on Tuesday overheard in Parliament buildings saying the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) is relying on a Presidential run- off of the March 4thelection since Jubilee Alliance will trounce them in the first round.
The MP who is a first time MP was worried that if Jubilee manages to get the 50+1 votes, the CORD will be the official opposition party on March 5th.
He said CORD has admitted a defeat in the first round and if the election goes to second round, CORD is assured of a win.
The flamboyant MP, who was very instrumental in the formation of CORD, said Jubilee alliance prides itself in three vote rich regions and it will be hard to trounce them in the first round.
He named Mt Kenya region, Rift Valley and Nairobi region as Jubilee coalition’s strongholds.
Jubilee coalition is associated with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto while CORD is associated with Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
