A new opinion poll indicates that the Jubilee coalition would carry the day if the elections were to be held today.
According to Smart Octopus research firm, Jubilee alliance leads with 45 % against CORD alliance's 32 %.
The polls however contradicts a recent poll by another research firm IPSOS Synovate, which put CORD alliance on the lead with 46% while Jubilee was at 40%.
The pollster says Uhuru/ Ruto axis would gunner 45% of all the polls while cord of Raila and Kalonzo will be a distant second 32 percent.
The polls is a departure from  one released this week by IPSOS Synnovate which had placed the CORD coalition tops with 45 percent and jubilee second at 40 percent.
But with pollsters giving their views a section of leaders are calling for sobriety from both winners and losers as the country gears for the general election.
Muranga TNA s senatorial hopeful Ephraim Maina is challenging all the winners in the just concluded party primaries to work with losing candidates.
He said allowing division in the party over the primaries will jeopardize its chances of clinching power.
In  Kajiado County, the aspiring member of parliament for Kajiado Central Joseph Nkaissery has cautioned those seeking for different elective positions to avoid inflammatory remarks.
Speaking during a peace rally at Namanga shopping centre, Nkaissery  urged those who lost in the party primaries to team up and support those who won.
