Saturday October 13, 2012 - Former Mumias Sugar Company CEO Dr Evans Kidero is between a rock and a hard place.
Although Kidero who is eyeing the Nairobi governor’s seat on an ODM ticket, his candidature is being seen as an impediment to ODM party leader Prime Minister Raila Odinga‘s penetration in the city.
Both Raila and Kidero come from the same Western region so, when the pandemonium to The National Alliance(TNA) hit a crescendo a few weeks ago and Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu goofed over hate speech on Maasai community, Dr Kidero, sought an appointment and met with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru Kenyatta’s foot soldiers are said to have warned Mr Kenyatta who is the TNA party leader, against “selling the seat to anybody beyond Limuru”
“Take any other seat. But the governorship is ours,” one loudmouth Kiambu politician shouted.
