Tuesday October 9, 2012 - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Head of Protocol Tony Gachoka is now wooing former Attorney General Charles Njonjo to support Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s bid for President.
Our mole told us that on Saturday afternoon Gachoka, who is also a political consultant, went to Charles Njonjo’s house in Muthaiga to try and broker a deal between the former powerful AG and Uhuru Kenyatta.
He arranged for them speak on the phone. Tony Gachoka says Njonjo told Uhuru,
“How can I fight my son,”
According to Tony Gachoka Uhuru told Njonjo….
“I always respects you as one of the best civil servants who has ever worked in Kenya especially as AG under my father”
Gachoka said the two leaders are organising a one on one meeting, although he didn’t specify the date of the meeting and the location.
Njonjo is Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s pointman in Mt Kenya region.
