Kalonzo's Wiper to hold talks with likeminded parties

This comes in the wake of reports that the party is in plans to strike a deal with ODM.
The Wiper Democratic Party now says it is ready for coalition talks with all parties ahead of the March 4th 2013 polls.

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka remained tight lipped on the reports of a deal with the orange party, but said he will not rule out consultations with any other party. He was addressing the media this morning en-route to Samburu for a campaign rally.
The possibility of an alliance bringing together former political allies -turned- rivals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka came up as Raila toured the latter's political backyard.
Kangundo Mp Johnstone Muthama who is considered the Vice President's close ally hosted the Prime minister on Friday sending jitters in the political scene. 
Meanwhile the Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka Saturday took his Presidential bid campaign to Samburu County where he pledged to consolidate national unity if elected Head of State in the forth coming general elections.
Mr. Musyoka stressed that peace and unity of all Kenyans irrespective of ethnicity, religion or race is crucial for national development and economic prosperity.
He said that he is better placed among all other presidential contenders to succeed President Mwai Kibaki upon his retirement citing his wide experience in the country's politics, public service and diplomatic circles.
The Vice President assured the pastoralist communities of adequate security, education, infrastructure and water services.
Mr. Musyoka was speaking when he joined family, relatives and well wishers at a colorful wedding of former, Ms Jemima Leparashao and Mr. Augustine Lesamana   held at Beauty of Holiness Church, Losut Village, Lolkunono in Maralal, Samburu County.
The Vice President who commenced his three day tour of Samburu county was crowned a Samburu elder during the occasion.
Mr. Musyoka urged the community to embrace girl child education so as to give them equal opportunities with their male counterparts.
He promised to offer scholarship for two bright girls and boys from the community up to university level as a show of his commitment to improving standards of education in the country and particularly in the marginalized areas of the country.
"The new constitution does not discriminate against gender and there's need to give equal education opportunities to both boys and girls" He said.
The Vice President noted that with improved infrastructure and in particular road network the in insecurity prone areas will help in curbing the vice and alleviate poverty.
He pledged to fast track the upgrading of the Rumuruti - Maralal road so as to link the area with the rest of Kenya.
Mr. Musyoka said that having been brought up in rural and humble background he understands well the needs of the less privileged in the society.
"This country needs a leader who will unite all people irrespective of their political persuasion, faith, ethnicity or race", He said.
Mr. Musyoka promised to fully empower Kenyans to tap the enormous resources and development potential of the country to alleviate poverty and spur economic growth.
Speakers at the function urged likeminded party leaders to consult widely with a view of coming up with an alliance capable of forming a formidable force to win the forth coming elections at the first round.
