Supporters of Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi have launched a lobby group to campaign for his presidential bid. Officials of N4M, which stands for Nairobi for Mudavadi, said the lobby group is guided by the the theme 'Project Kenya – Putting Country First' and aims at projecting Mudavadi as the people’s project committed to servant leadership.
“The agenda is to win the presidency through mobilisation and persuasion, for Mudavadi and for UDF to bag the majority party status in the forthcoming general elections slated for March 2013,” said  Richard Ekhalie, the lobby’s secretary general. Ikolomani MP Bonny Khalwalwe, who attended the launch on Wednesday evening at Panafic Hotel in Nairobi, said Mudavadi ''is the face of unity'' and called on all Kenyans to vote for the “better option”.
“All other candidates are qualified to rule this country. In fact, they are an option, but Mudavadi is the better option,” said Khalwale Leaders who spoke at a dinner organised by the group said the country must vote for a candidate who will unify Kenyans. The lobby group was formed in July and officials say its membership are from the diverse ethnic groups living in Nairobi, who share the same aspirations and political persuasion.
