Ongwae who was an ex–PS, resigned on Monday in compliance with the Election Act 2011 to vie for the Kisii Governor’s seat on an ODM ticket. This is big boost to Prime Minister Raila Odinga presidential campaigns in Kisii politics since ODM’s popularity has been dwindling in the region and Ongwae may revive its lost fortunes.
