Thursday September 6, 2012-Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) spokesman Major Chirchir has been tainted as possible replacement of Dr Alfred Mutua who resigned on Monday as government spokesman.
Major Chirchir is career soldier who has impressed Kenyans with his daily briefs on handling of Operation Linda Nchi’s incursion in to Somalia and now the government think he can just as well speak on behalf of the government not just the military.
The position of the government spokesman fell vacant following the resignation of Dr Alfred Mutua who is eyeing for gubernatorial seat in Machakos County.
Dr Mutua held the position for 8 years until his resignation.
Does Major Chirchir fit the bill of becoming the next government spokesman?
