The aide of a senior Cabinet minister has reportedly bought a three star hotel in Nairobi's Kilimani area. The word going round is that the man reportedly paid for the hotel in cash! The talk has got his colleagues talking and speculating about how he came to such good fortune.

After a long time of pretending that he is monogamous, an MP from Eastern finally had to inform his wife that she had a co-wife. The MP's mother traveled from her rural home and insisted on staying at the home of the MP's lover. She told her son the reason for staying in the woman's house was a gesture that she recognised her as a daughter in law and was a sign that she approved him taking the woman as his second wife. The MP's mother advised him to break the news to his wife and to immediately start dowry negotiations. We now hear the MP is at an advanced in formalising his second marriage and has already paid bride price.

The Tom Mboya monument inaugurated last week by President Kibaki has been attracting a large number of people— both admirers and fanatics. Following Wednesday 's match which saw Gor Mahia pick up the FKL Cup, many of the club's fans walked all the way from Nyayo stadium to the monument where they paid homage to the late trade unionist.
