Some officials in ODM fear the party may lose two seats in the forthcoming by-elections. They are complaining that Raila Odinga erred by endorsing Ibrahim Hussein aka Johnny as the ODM candidate in Kamukunji even before the party holds its nominations. Johnny successfully petitioned against the election of Simon Mbugua. The officials are also concerned that Bernard Shinali may get a direct nomination run for the Ikolomani parliamentary seat left vacant by the ouster of Bonny Khalwale. They say it is such decisions that cost the party the by-elections in Matuga, Makadara and South Mugirango last year.
