The VP, who is a special envoy of the coalition government to several African countries, is on the mission to lobby African Union on Kenya’s position, to request the United Nations Security Council to defer the International Criminal Court (ICC) cases until a local judicial mechanism concludes the process.
Mr Musyoka had earlier returned from South Africa on a similar mission.
He said Kenya was interested in comprehensive delivery of justice for the victims, compensation for the loses incurred and fostering national healing and reconciliation.
President Museveni agreed with the Kenyan position, saying the ICC was a court of last resort and Kenya should be given the chance to deal with the matter internally before the ICC takes over.
