Plans are underway to have a single political party to be used by former Higher Education Minister and Eldoret North MP William Ruto and Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa for the 2012 elections.
A technical team of eight MPs has been formed to explore ways of how to deal with the alliance with a possibility of identifying a single political party before the end of the year.
According to Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, a member of the team, the KK alliance is seriously shaping up and determined on building strong political foundation that will be a force to beat come the general elections.
Mr Kutuny said there was high possibility of having a joint party for the alliance before the end of this year in preparation for the next general election which is no longer a long shot.
“We are currently working on a structured manner with talks amongst our colleagues and exploring all the possibilities we have for the next elections to make sure we have a formidable force,” said the MP.
The Cherangany MP said the technical team of six Members of Parliament will work on the modalities of collaborating and strengthening the alliance.
“We already have eight people in the technical team which includes our two principals Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto and we are seriously exploring how we can cement this political alliance and ensure a winning combination come the general elections,” said Mr Kutuny.
Naivasha MP John Muthutho who is also among the those in the technical team said they will be working on their ‘SWOT’ analysis and eventually have a formidable political unit that will take over power.
