Prime Minister Raila Odinga has sent Idd wishes to Kenyan Muslim faithful as they prepare to celebrate Idd Ul Fitr on Saturday.
"As Muslims in Kenya and around the world complete end the month of Ramadhan and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend personal greetings on this significant occasion.
"I congratulate you for going through the 30 days and nights of devotion to the Creator and carrying out your obligations to the poor and the less fortunate as demanded by your faith," said Mr Odinga.
He said Muslims should have double reason to celebrate as the new Constitution has" reaffirmed a commitment by our nation and our people to protect the right of every faith, including Islam, to exist and to exercise its obligations and responsibilities without inhibitions".
