Tourism minister Najib Balala was on Wednesday night admitted at Aga Khan hospital after complaining of a fever.
A nephew to the minister confirmed that Mr Balala was diagnosed with fever and told by doctors to stay in hospital for at least two days.
The minister was scheduled to open an East African e-tourism conference in Nairobi on Thursday morning.
On August 16, Mr Balala was rushed to the Nairobi hospital after collapsing in his office due to breathing complications.
The minister was operated for turbinate hypertrophy, a condition caused by the enlargement of the turbinates -- the small structures within the nose that cleanse and humidify air as it passes through nostrils into the lungs.
