Kenyans are eager to know whom they can trust to implement the Proposed Constitution once it is passed, Central Organisation of Trade Union Francis Atwoli has said.
"Kenya deserves a leadership that understands, works and stops at nothing to create opportunities for all. That is the great promise, a fair deal for all and a free ride for none," he added.
Atwoli was addressing Kenyans in US where he is on a visit.
"Whom do we trust for the management and implementation of this important document amongst our current crop of leaders? the Cotu boss asked during the meeting.
He noted that there was still a lot to be done if the country is to move forward adding he was convinced Kenyans will get a new constitution come August 4.
"Workers and other citizens including your in Diaspora still have a tall order and a long journey that we must unite and travel along with other progressive people seeking for a permanent political solution for out country," he added.
Atwoli who was also recently elected the Vice President of the International Trade Unions told the Kenyans in Diaspora to mount financial and moral support for this urgently needed change.
He pointed out that workers were concerned about the future of the country in a fast changing world that embraces technological change.
"Children must have a chance to live to their dreams and expectations and make the most of the talents God gave them," he added.
Atwoi said Cotu was involved in the reform efforts and wants the government to implement Agenda 4 of the Peace Accord that includes the constitutional review process.
