By Beauttah Omanga The falling out in ODM could be headed to the Registrar of Political Parties.
Some ODM MPs now want seven of the rebellious MPs disciplined to restore order in the party.
Yesterday Assistant Minister Langat Magerer confirmed a date has been secured between the party and the registrar of political parties.
"We are considering going through the political parties’ tribunal to push for the suspension of the MPs," said the Kipkelion MP.
Magerer said the Ruto MPs were no longer serving the interests of ODM, the party that sponsored them to Parliament, as they were working for other parties in competition with ODM.
When reached for comment one of the pro-Ruto MPs Joshua Kuttuny, said. "What are they waiting for? We are ready for anything. We chose to join ODM and it will be upon us to decide when to leave," said Kuttuny.
"What offense have we committed to warrant a court action? We are merely exercising our democratic rights within the party," said Kuttuny.
Magerer told The Standard On Saturday the decision to have MPs Isaac Ruto and Sophia Abdi ejected from a House committee was final since the duo were no longer representing their party’s interests.
