Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Ministries yesterday said Kebete MP
Ferdinand Waititu should mature up, stop retrogressive political antics
and hooliganism.
Ng'ang'a has been linked to a Ranger Rover Sport that collided head-on with a Nissan March on July 27 at Manguo, Limuru constituency.
Mercy Njeri was killed in the accident while her husband Martin Mbugua was injured.
During Njeri's burial on
August 5, Waititu and Kiambu politicians urged Inspector General of Police
Joseph Boinnet to prosecute Ng'ang'a or they will push
for his removal from office.
“Waititu,
you must respect yourself. You are an MP and an aspiring governor. You should
stop stone-throwing mentality and use your brains,” Ng'ang'a said.
He said politicians and media have joined
hands to tarnish his name and ministry.
“If I was involved in the accident, why are they mentioning the
church and publishing photographs of the church? Why can't they come
to my home and take photos of me and my family?” Ng'ang'a said.
“No one has ever spoken to me before discussing how I divorced my
wife in media."
Ng'ang'a urged the congregation to ignore media reports that there is a conspiracy to hide the truth.
“They
are reporting what will sell their papers. A man has defiled his
eight daughters and that has not been reported anywhere. No wonder
the President said newspapers are for wrapping meat,” Ng'ang'a said.
“At
my home, I am using them to wrap chapatis, mandazi, onions and
tomatoes."
Ng'ang'a told parents not to allow their children to join those attacking
servants of God.
“This is a spiritual war, not about Ng'ang'a. Even
as I ask you to pray for me, you must warn your children against
unknowingly being involved in what will shock you later," he said.
Police
are expected to forward Ng'ang'a's investigations file to Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko's office today.
He denied newspaper reports that he had condoms in the car at
the time of the accident.
“I was travelling with my wife, chairman
(of Neno evangelism ministry) and his wife. I didn’t know there was a shortage of condoms in Nairobi that we had to carry them
from Naivasha,” Ng'ang'a said.
