First Lady Margaret Kenyatta braved a morning drizzle in Ethiopia on Saturday, as she continued with her marathon training ahead of an official ceremony.
Margaret and her team drew excitement in Addis Ababa as they ran a 5-kilometre stretch, that involved a circuitous and hilly route, a session that took 51 minutes
The rain and the mud did not deter the resilient First Lady and her team rom the training that ended with stretching exercises at Sheraton Hotel.
Along the way, Margaret's team was joined by famed Ethiopian marathoners who used the same route.
They found children and women taking part in sports activities, including football, when they reached Meskel Square.
Most of Ethiopia's athletes cool off at the square following runs around the capital.
Margaret is in Addis Ababa for the official inauguration of the new president of the Organization of African First Ladies Against HIV/Aids today.
