RAILA OFF TO INDIA TO PROMOTE BILATERAL TRADE AND INVESTMENT

CORD Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga has left the country this afternoon for a 10-day working visit to India as part of his efforts towards promotion of bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
During the tour, the Kenyan delegation will have meetings with Indian Cabinet Ministers,Governors,Captains of Industry, Chief Executives of multi-national companies, trade associations, exporters and importers organizations, manufacturing concerns and prospective investors with substantial interests in Kenya.
.Hon Raila’s leads the Kenyan delegation consisting of H.E. Mgalla Salim Mvurya,-Governor, Kwale County and Vice-Chairman of the Council of Governors, H.E. Mtutta John Mruttu, - Governor, Taita Taveta County,H.E. Amoth Cornel Rasanga, - Governor, Siaya County, H.E. Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamed- Governor, Wajir County, and Mr. Owalo Eliud Okech, a Management Consultant.
The objective of the working tour is to match Indian Investment Interests with opportunities available within Kenyan Counties with a view to tilting the Balance of Trade in favour of Kenya.
SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS
20th-Meeting with FIEO in Delhi,
21st-meeting with members of EEPC in New Delhi
22nd-Departure for Hyderabad
23rd-Meeting with FIEO ( Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation)
24th-Meeting with FAPCCI Hyderabad and eminent business people and ministers.
25th (Sunday) Meeting with the Lakshmi Mittal group and most eminent Gujarat Business people.
