Many of us dismissed Raila’s declaration of a public holiday on Monday, but went ahead and skipped work. Shops, banks, offices and other business premises within Nairobi’s Central Business District remained closed following fears of violence.
The Saba Saba rally was however mostly peaceful, with only some isolated confrontation between the police and a section of the crowd in the morning hours. We have all the pictures below.
