President Uhuru Kenyatta’s adviser on youth affairs Joshua Kutunyi has called for an end to the wrangles within the ruling alliance and has instead called for dialogue to resolve the differences.
Kutunyi said they URP leaders will convene a meeting to deliberate on complaints they have raised following the removal of Kiplimo Rugut as Director of the NYS. Kutunyi said President Uhuru was ready to listen to complaints by the leaders.
Kutunyi’s statement comes in the backdrop of differences between Jubilee leaders over the NYS matter and the impeachment motion by Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi that have palyed out in public forums.
Though Linturi is adamant that the petition to impeach the Devolution Cabinet Secretary will go on, pressure is piling on him to withdraw the motion.
Both majority leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, Adan Duale and Kithure Kindiki respectively, have dismissed the motion. Deputy President William Ruto absolved Waiguru of wrong-doing saying that the decision to transfer Rugut was made by him and the president.
