MPs yesterday vowed not to cut their salaries despite a request by the President. The MPs who were having a drink at Parliament's bar said their have already committed their salaries to loans and mortgages and so taking a pay cut is out of question. Infact the legislators said they are planning to ask for more cash since "we have too many needs".

Residents of Nyayo estate in Embakasi are concerned that a house along Eldoret avenue has been turned into a brothel. We are told that the owner of the house has kept girls in the house who serve the men who leave around. The business has been so open that sometimes girls literally parade themselves outside. The house is owned by an official who works for a parastatal under the ministry of Finance.

The men in black experience was re-enacted at Orange House on Thursday afternoon moments after party leader Raila Odinga chaired a meeting. Apparently, a senator from Luo Nyanza who was in attendance dished out the usual tokens to some hang-about who attempted to short-change his colleagues. They descended on him and a serious scuffle ensued as the man held on to the token. One journalist filming the scuffle shouted to his colleagues: “Here they are at it again, the men in black.”

A vocal Jubilee MP with a knack for loose tongue was overheard boasting how his masters easily spoiled the party for ODM at their February 28 National Delegates Convention in Kasarani. The man who comes from North Eastern shouted: “We only spent Sh15 million!”
