NAIROBI, KENYA: Former minister Raphael Tuju is being questioned by police over the death of his wife’s lover Tony Ogunda.
Tuju is at the Kilimani police station where is recording statement over the death of the formerpolice officer he accused of breaking his marriage.
Tuju arrived back to the country on Friday from South Africa where he was when Ogunda passed away.
A day earlier, his son, Mano Tuju who is a pilot was also questioned by Kilimani police.
Mano happens to have been drinking with the deceased and other friends days before Ogunda, 24 was found dead in their house last Tuesday morning.
So far police have recorded statements from at least 10 people including Tuju’s wife Ruth Akinyi.
A nephew to former minister Raphael TujuCosmas Okoth who was with Ogunda before he died was Friday presented before court.
But police did not prefer murder charge against him saying the investigations were still incomplete.
They asked for seven days to complete investigations, which would determine whether or not to charge him.
Akinyi is said to have mentioned the name of a woman only identified as Sabina, who insiders said was a lover to Ogunda and asked that she be grilled.
Okoth too has mentioned her name claiming she is carrying Ogunda’s pregnancy.
