Kalonzo to make a comeback to Parliament

Naivasha, Kenya: Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is expected to make a comeback to parliament following the voluntary resignation of one MP in order to allow him contest for the seat.
Kalonzo will assume the position of minority leader in Parliament and Jakoyo Midiwo his deputy.
In the meantime, Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze will assume the position on an interim basis.
Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro will be the Chief Whip in Parliament.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga opted to foster implementation of the constitution outside parliament.
The recent developments were effected during the ongoing CORD retreat at Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha.
CORD coalition has also struck a deal to make Moses Wetangula the minority leader in the senate, with the deputy position going to Wajir Senator Hassan Abdurrahman.
The senate chief whip post goes to Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and Janet Ongera will be the deputy.
Meanwhile, Jubilee coalition has picked majority leaders for both Senate and National Assembly.
Tharaka Nithi Senator Kindiki Kithure will be the Senate Majority leader with Charles Keter being his deputy.
Garissa Town MP Aden Duale will be the National Assembly Majority leader and Naomi Shabaan his deputy.
