Police are looking for two 'nuns' based in Kisii who have been soliciting funds from well-wishers in the US allegedly to assist children's' homes that they run in Kisii. The police became suspicious after huge sums were transferred from the US into a personal bank account registered under the names of the two nuns and not the parish as such donations should be made. The police believe the nuns are part of a 'money laundering activity involving the use of accounts in the name of non-existent charities to move large sums of money undetected.

A politician based in Nairobi wants to blow the whistle and reveal that the IEBC went ahead to recruit two of his daughters as a presiding officer and tallying clerk against the rules. The man claims his daughters did not apply and neither did they attend the interviews conducted to recruit the polling clerks and other officials. He blames several senior staff of the IEBC for bending the rules to employ his daughters who were deployed to Kamukunji and wants them punished. A case of cutting off your nose to spite your face?

Individuals keen to become the next police spokesman have been bad-mouthing and criticizing the current office holder for allegedly giving 'poor' situation reports to the media especially during the just ended elections. Agriculture minister Sally Kosgei who failed in her Aldai parliamentary re-election bid was caught off guard by a nosy journalist who wanted to know what her next move will be. Kosgei, who has served as head of the civil service under the Moi regime and as a diplomat before joining active politics in 2002 said she had a life before politics and will continue to have one afterwards. She said the hard work she had put into her academic development meant a lot to her and she would therefore not be able to find something to do.
