Bensouda: There's Evidence To Sustain Uhuru's Case

ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda is tonight standing her ground, insisting that she has enough evidence to sustain a case against president - elect Uhuru Kenyatta, even after dropping crimes against humanity charges against Uhuru's co-accused, former public service head Francis Muthaura. Bensouda's stance is captured in her response to ICCpre-trial chamber five presiding Judge Kuniko Ozaki who had asked the prosecutor to explain to the court that is to try the 2 Kenyan cases, what impact the withdrawal of charges against Muthaura would have on the case facing Uhuru. Summing up her submissions, the prosecutor says the case facing Uhuru is different from Muthaura's and should therefore proceed to full trial.
