UHURU has over 6.5 MILLION VOTES compared to RAILA 2.8 MILLION – Ngilu predicts a UHURU win

Thursday January 3, 2013 - Water Minister Charity Ngilu has said that the Jubilee Coalition will beat Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) with over 1 million votes in the upcoming poll.

Speaking to leaders from Mwingi Central constituency at the home of retired DC Joseph Mutemi on Wednesday, Ngilu said the two Jubilee voting blocs in Rift Valley and Central Kenya have 6.5 million votes while CORD bloc Nyanza and Lower Eastern can only deliver 2.8 million votes.

“Uhuru is leading the winning team. The Kikuyu voting bloc has 4.6 registered voters while the Kalenjins have 1.8 million votes totaling to nearly 6.5 million votes. CORD is only dependent on the 1.8 million Luo votes and the paltry one million who registered in Ukambani,” Ngilu said.

She urged the Kamba community to join Jubilee alliance since it is a winning team.

When asked why she shunned the CORD alliance by journalists, Ngilu who is also the Kitui Central lawmaker, proudly said she never joins a losing side”
