TNA puts off Parliamentary Group meeting

MPs allied to The National Alliance (TNA) have postponed a Parliamentary Group meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
The legislators had been invited to the meeting by nominated MP Amina Abdalla TNA nominations and prepare for the Jubilee Coalition’s rally at Nairobi’s Uhuru Park slated for Saturday.
Read the invitation message seen by theNation: "Happy New Year Mheshimiwa. Please note that we will hold The National Alliance Parliamentary Group meeting on Tuesday 8 January at The Intercontinental Hotel at 10am…It is very important that you attend. Thank you. Amina Abdalla."
However, the MP later on sent another message informing his colleagues of the cancellation of the meeting due to pending business in Parliament.
The meeting has now been moved to Wednesday.
“Mheshimiwa, due to the fact that the Speaker ruled that the debate on the important motion on the supplementary estimates resume on January 8 in the morning, we have decided to postpone the parliamentary group meeting to Wednesday 9th at the Intercontinental Hotel at 10am. Kindly indulge us,” she wrote.
