Jubilee alliance partners will allow for joint nomination in each other’s perceived strongholds.
The National Alliance secretary-general Onyango Oloo on Sunday said his party and United Republican Party had their strongholds, and it would not make sense to hold separate primaries.
“You can find that in some areas TNA or URP is very strong, and so the aspirants will all participate in a single process. For example in the Mt Kenya region TNA is strong on the ground and URP aspirants will participate in the TNA nominations. If they win, they will be given a URP certificate,” Mr Oloo said in Nyeri after holding a meeting with TNA aspirants from the county.

Seventeen members of the county nominations advisory committee were selected during the meeting. Mr Oloo said the committees would be the first point of reference for any dispute arising from the polls.
Mr Oloo accused rival parties of manipulating TNA members list digitally to make it seem like the party has been registering members without consent.
“After preliminary investigations, we have found that someone hacked into our system and wants to antagonise us with the public,” he said. He said the party would clean up the register ahead of the January 17 primaries.
TNA chairman Johnson Sakaja dismissed claims that some candidates had already received nomination certificates.
