Waiganjo who is facing a chain of criminal cases in various courts on Thursday claimed through his lawyer Cliffe Ombeta that his life was in danger
Former police commissioner Mathew Iteere has denied having any links with police imposter Joshua Waiganjo.
Iteere says he has never met Waiganjo and only came to learn of him two weeks after the Baragoi operation that claimed the lives of over 40 police officers.
Iteere told the Mary Owuor-led probe team Friday that he never appointed Waiganjo during his tenure and that he had never received any information from suspended Rift Valley Police boss regarding Waiganjo.
Former Kenya Police Reservist head in Trans Nzoia claimed crime rate was high in Trans Nzoia when Waiganjo was posted to the area in 2002 but reduced drastically after his exit.
David Kamau who claims to be a motor vehicle dealer in Nakuru told the committee how he was intimidated by Waiganjo into abandoning a Saloon car he had bought from a Mr. Ongoro Odinga at a cost of 200,000 shillings but could not produce documents to prove ownership.
On Thursday, the probe team heard shocking revelations on how the imposter police was involved in high level security meetings and operations.
Kenya Police Airwing Commandant Rogers Munene confirmed that Waiganjo was among 15 people aboard a police chopper that went for the Baragoi mission where over 40 police officers were killed by bandits.
Testifying, Munene said the Rift Valley Provincial Police boss John M'Mbijjiwe authorized everyone who boarded the aircraft to Baragoi.
On his part, Deputy Police Commissioner Francis Munyambu who at one time was accused of having introduced Waiganjo to the suspended PPO John M'mbijjewe  said he never met or knew Waiganjo and that the alleged imposter was absent when he was handing over the Rift Valley PPO post to M'Mbijiwe.
He said that Waiganjo is not a police officer but a criminal.
Senior Deputy Police Commissioner Jonathan Kosgey said he raised the flag over the conduct of Waiganjo in meetings leading up to Baragoi Mission.
He said he wanted Waiganjo investigated to establish whether he leaked information on Baragoi. Kapchanga Kitoo says that Joshua Waiganjo was not a regular police officer and was therefore not on the police pay roll.
Senior Superintendent Peter Ndung'u says he cannot say where Waiganjo got an official uniform as that is un- procedural.
At the same time, Administration Police Deputy Commandant Elsebuys Laikuta told the team that they have never had an officer by the name of Joshua Waiganjo.
The team probing Waiganjo's conduct was earlier this week told that the police impostor allegedly offered former Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere and suspended Rift Valley Provincial Police Officer John M'Mbijiwe a Toyota Landcruiser each as gifts.
Senior police officers from the Rift valley province were questioned over Waiganjo's activities after President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga ordered thorough investigations into the matter that has exposed serious security lapses in Kenya's security system.
Former Rift Valley PPO John M'Mbijiwe who was suspended over the scandal had claimed that immediate former Commissioner of Police Mathew Iteere had appointed Waiganjo, an allegation that he (Iteere) denied. All witnesses who appeared before the probe team have implicated M'Mbijjiwe in the fake top cop saga.
On Thursday former Rift Valley PPO Francis Munyambu denied claims by Mbijjiwe that it is him who handed over Waiganjo to M' Mbijjiwe.
Munyambu who has since been moved to the Central Province denied having met Waiganjo.
Waiganjo who is facing a chain of criminal cases in various courts on Thursday claimed through his lawyer Cliffe Ombeta that his life was in danger.
Speaking in a Naivasha court, Waiganjo said he would like to meet the Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo in person saying he had confidential information which he wanted to share with the new IG.
The public sittings were moved from Nakuru where senior police officers who appeared before the probe committee, were shocked to learn that Waiganjo was not their boss as they had been made to believe.
