Eric Kiraithe is set to resign after serving as the police mouthpiece for the last seven years. It seems he has got himself a 'soft landing's a senior honcho in one of the departments under the Internal Security ministry. As is always the case, speculation has been growing as to who is likely to succeed him. Most people replacing their bets on Mary Kaol, currently the Nairobi Interpol chief as his replacement. She would be the first policewoman to take up the post if she is appointed!

AN aspirant for the Nyeri County senatorial seat famously known as Mr Money is faced with trouble of his own making. After 'pouring money' to win the nomination, the man has reportedly hired a gang of youth to go round the county vandalizing and defacing his rival's election posters. At one point, he was spotted and even captured on camera defacing and tearing down some of the posters! The photographs are expected to be delivered to the IEBC by some of the voters who want him disqualified.

Our moles tell us the North Rift aspirant who has suddenly come into money which he is generously sharing out may have done so through a less than savory manner. They tell us that the man 'fell into' a deal of Sh80 million involving a Nairobi businessman who would rather lose the money than go after the aspirant who seems to be committed to "buying' the parliamentary seat he is after.

A PS is in trouble after a complaint was filed at the Public Service Commission that he was in the habit of flogging his drivers. Three drivers who have previously served the PS filed the joint complaint. All of them left his service after he assaulted them. Their complaints have gone unheeded. The PS, known for bragging about his close connections with one of the leading presidential running mates, recently suspended his driver when he refused to overlap in a traffic jam!
