The National Alliance party and the New Ford Kenya party will soon form a coalition, Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa has said.
Speaking at rallies to drum up support for his party in Cherengany in Trans Nzoia over the weekend, Wamalwa said he will unite with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta to form the next government.
He urged New Ford Kenya and TNA supporters to unite and work together for the betterment of the country saying it is time for youthful and visionary leaders to lead.
Wamalwa said Uhuru is a true democrat, who puts the country's interests above his, adding that he concede defeat after the 2002 general election without subjecting the country to unnecessary anxiety.
The minister was accompanied by Nairobi governor aspirant seat Lee Muchiri, who said the two parties are working on a strategy to win in the poll run-off to for the next government.
“Kenyans should know that there will be a run-off and the two parties are working together to ensure that they clinch the victory,” said Kamau.
Wamalwa dismissed ramours that the general election will not be held on March 4 saying those spreading the propaganda want the election postponed after defeat.
He said the government has already acquired the Biometric Voters Registration Kit and soon the IEBC will start registering voters.
“I appeal to you to ensure that you have acquired Identification cards to enable you register as voters,” said Wamalwa.
Nominated MP Musikari Kombo and former minister Kipruto arap Kirwa warned registrar of persons against charging applicants of IDs saying the state had waived the fee.
Kirwa has declared interest in the Trans Nzoia senator seat on New Ford Kenya ticket.
