Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi’s United Democratic Front will on Tuesday morning begin a two-day retreat in Naivasha to discuss party nominations and its constitution.

“I have not reinvented Mudavadi. I have, in all my years, acted and continue to think national. I will never be a polarising figure,” he said.
The DPM said Kenyans did not need leadership that would again polarise the country and plunge it into post-election violence.
“My desire is to ensure that Kenyans, under my watch, will never again turn against each other. Never again should we export political and economic refugees. Forever, we will export the human resource. That I promise,” he said.
Mr Mudavadi said Kenya was at a critical time when it had to decide whether it remained one united nation or perish in ethnic competition.
“We have devolution where counties must compete to attract investment resources, not where we brandish our tribal prowess,” he said.
