Friday October 5, 2012 - As the wave of defections continues to rock the Orange Democratic Movement boat, the DAILY POST can now authoritatively report that Prime Minister Raila Odinga is courting Narc-Kenya presidential hopeful Martha Karua to be his running mate in the upcoming elections.
Multiple sources revealed to the DAILY POST that, the two leaders are in their final negotiations in forming a formidable alliance that will trounce other alliances in the upcoming poll.
The source said the Premier is aware of his plummeting popularity coupled with the recent defections that he summoned his political think tank to hatch a plan of countering Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s soaring popularity.
As an experienced politician, Raila is reportedly seeking Karua who is also the Gichugu MP, to assist him deliver some of the markedly “quintessential Kikuyu votes” that any candidate must garner if he has to win.
Both Raila and Karua are known to be reform oriented leaders who have dedicated their political career in fighting for democracy and injustices of the previous governments.
